Amparo Saenz, age 84 of New Braunfels, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Northeast Baptist Hospital. She was born on May 11, 1934, in Dayton, Texas to Ruben Ramirez and Eloisa Castro Ramirez. She married Reynaldo V. Saenz on June 30, 1956. She was a Beautician during her career. She served her church community through many roles, to include teaching baptism classes, taking communion to the sick and homebound individuals, and was a member of the Guadalupana. She is survived by her daughters Veronica Miller and husband Wayne of Schertz, Texas; Anita S. Ybarra of New Braunfels, Texas; Carolyn Diaz and husband Jesus of New Braunfels, Texas; Beatrice Christopher and husband Randy of Baytown, Texas; Martina Gutierrez and husband Clemente of New Braunfels, Texas; and Patricia Saenz of New Braunfels, Texas; son Reynaldo Saenz, Jr. and wife Toni of New Braunfels, Texas; sister Linda Hernandez of Baytown, Texas; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Public Visitation will take place at Zoeller Funeral Home Friday, November 2, 2018, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Public Visitation will begin again the next day at 9:00 am followed by a procession to the church. The procession will depart the funeral home at 9:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saturday, November 3, 2018, at 11:00 am at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Cemetery.
Pall Bearers will be Jesus Castillo, Jr., Jon Saenz, Jeremy Diaz, Jared Diaz, Mathew Christopher, Samuel Gutierrez, Sean Cantu and Jason Stricker.
