Bernice "Bonnie" Collins

Bernice (Bonnie) Collins, 86, of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at Eden Hill Communities. She was born to Ben H. Sitz and Clara (Bechtold) Sitz in San Antonio, Texas on November 3, 1926.

She is survived by her sons, Kevin Collins and wife Linda of New Braunfels, and Clay Collins and wife Susan of New Braunfels; son-in-law, Billy Schaefer of Marion; grandchildren, Corby Ott and husband Brandon, Jared Collins, Justin Schaefer and wife Brandy, and Aaron Collins; great grandchildren, Colin Ott, Shaylie Schaefer and Braydin Ott; sister, Jackie Blanton and husband Charles; and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of friends in the community. She is preceded in death by her husband Fred Collins, daughter, Kandy Schaefer, and grandson, Troy Brent Collins.

Public visitation will begin 4:00 PM Sunday at Zoeller Funeral Home with the family present to receive friends from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, June 4, 2012 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Marvin Koenig officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to Hope Hospice or to the Eden Hill Communities.
