Daniel was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn; his parents Joe and Eva Farner; two sisters, Geraldine Kinsey and Lorie Simmons. He is survived by his brother, Fred Farner and sister, Nora Reinders and husband Will Reinders. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and two great nephews. He leaves behind many cherished friends.
Dan served proudly in the US Navy 1964-1968. He Spent much of his time on the Aircraft carrier USS BON HOMME RICHARD. He loved telling stories of his aircraft adventures. Dan loved entertaining his friends at the RV park where he lived. He enjoyed trips to Rockport, fishing and going to Legends and sugar shack. He also enjoyed trips to Bandera. He loved getting his in his Jeep and driving around. Dan was fun loving and never met a stranger. He will be missed.
A Graveside service will take place at Ft. Sam Houston on June 3, 2025 at 1:30 in Shelter #3. All family and friends are welcome.
