Edna Paris, age 90, of New Braunfels, TX died September 4, 2018 at Sundance Inn Health Center in New Braunfels. Then a week later, on September 11, 2018, her brother, William (Bill) Kusch, age 80, died at the same facility.
Edna was born on July 29, 1928 and Bill was born on January 4, 1938, in Schleswig, Iowa. They were the children of Ernst and Katharina Ullrich Kusch. They were preceded in death by their parents, and brothers Fritz, Luke and Ernst Kusch, Jr. Survivors include sisters Esther Hawley of Buffalo, Wyoming, and Joan Schwartz of Rochester, Minnesota, sister-in-law Judy Paris, and several nieces and nephews.
Edna served in the United States Marine Corps and her ashes will be buried beside her husband John Paris at Fort Sam Houston on October 19, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. William’s ashes will be buried in the family plot in Schleswig, Iowa.
A Memorial Service celebrating the victory Jesus Christ won for Edna Paris and William Kusch will be held on Friday, October 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Cross Lutheran Church, 2171 Common Street, New Braunfels. Memorials to Cross Lutheran Church.
