Elizabeth Kelly Reed Martinez

Elizabeth was born in Nashville, TN on November 30, 1961. She is the daughter of Robert L. and Gail Reed of New Braunfels, Texas.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Travis Sternberg and Danielle Martinez of New Braunfels. She is also survived by her parents and a brother, Robert L. Reed, Jr. and his wife Jenn of Devine, TX as well as a sister, Colleen Ogden and her husband, Michael and their children, Casie and Kylie of Pearland, TX. Elizabeth is the granddaughter of Lonnie and Dixie Wilson of Nashville, TN, who have preceded her in death, as well as grandparents, Russell and Edith Reed of Cairo, IL, who have also preceded her.

Elizabeth was from a career Marine military family, therefore she lived and grew up in several places, among which were North Carolina, Virginia, California, Hawaii and Arizona. She graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in Biology. She had a love for animals that gave her much pleasure. She lived close to her parents and helped them every day with the animals there. She was active in Girl Scouts with her daughter, Danielle and spent many happy times camping with them. She was always willing to help a friend and worked hard at any endeavor that she undertook. She will be missed so very much and there is a void in our hearts that will be there forever. We will remember her every day and always.

There will be a viewing with the family on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at the Zoeller Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Services will conclude at the church.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be given to the New Braunfels Humane Society.
