I'm sad to hear of Mr. Adams' passing.  What a kind man he was.  He was a wonderful teacher, one that stands out even after 40-plus years.  Rest in peace.

Mr. Adams was a wonderful teacher and mentor. He was always kind and gracious. He definitely made a difference in every child’s life, that he taught, over the years. I enjoyed my time as his student.  Prayers for his family and friends to have peace and comfort. He will be missed by all who knew him. 

I always enjoyed history but his class was always interesting. He made it relatable. I remember him as fair and concise; a good teacher.  He is tempered with great respect. 

I began my teaching career at New Braunfels High School where I met a very special group of friends. Emmitt was one of those friends. I am so grateful to have known Emmitt as a friend and as an amazing colleague. He blessed many lives.

When I think of Emmit, I remember his wonderfully sincere bold laughter. It was if he were giving you a big bear hug with his contagious laugh.  He loved people and they loved him.  My late husband, Cliff, taught with Emmit for many years and treasured their friendship.  Emmit will be missed and always fondly remembered.

I have great memories of Emmit...friendly, kind, respected teacher...very professional.  RIP my friend.

I was fortunate enough to have taught with Emmitt.  He was a dedicated teacher and a true gentleman! His laughter always made me smile. I will never forget the great times we had during our conference period. I will miss my sweet friend. My condolences to his family.

What a good man and good teacher.  He will be missed by class of 77.

I enjoyed teaching with Emmitt at Unicorn High! He was kind, thoughtful and a caring man. We shared birthdays over the years and brought treats for teachers on our special day. Peaceful, fond memories!


Mr. Adams was a great teacher.  His quirky sense of humor made history class enjoyable.  

Emmitt was a wonderful teacher, friend and colleague. His gentle manner and smile were so welcoming and sincere. I enjoyed our years of teaching together. He will be greatly missed.

So very sorry for your loss.  Mr. Adams was a wonderful inspiration,  as my teacher.  I throughly enjoyed being his student.  He will long be remembered by all of the children he taught.  Until we meet again.

Mr. Adams was the absolutely one of the best! He taught with my parents Leo and Nancy Chafin and they became great friends! I would see him from time to time and he always had such kind words! I will always remember his laugh! RIP Mr. Adams!❤️

I was saddened to learn of his passing. But 86 years, that's pretty good. Definitely one of my favorite teachers. I'm glad I got to tell him that some 20 years ago. Mr. Adams, you were one of the great ones -- a great teacher and a great person.
