

Emmitt James Adams, 83, of New Braunfels, Texas eternal rest on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at his home. He was born March 14, 1938 in Gloster, Lousianna, (De Soto Parish) to the late George Adams and Martha Littleton Adams.
His parents preceded him in death and one sister Gloria Ann Adams Eastland. Emmitt is survived by his sister, Frances Adams Huntsberry of Houston, Texas; a brother, George Adams and wife of Windchester, CA. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Emmitt retired after teaching 37 years in the New Braunfels Independent School District. He graduated from Second Ward High School, Gloster, LA. Emmitt received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education from Grambling College, Grambling, LA. He later earned a Masters Degree in Secondary Education and History from Texas Southern University in Houston, TX. He enjoyed his years of teaching. He also served proudly in the United States Army. His duty station was Fulda, Germany.
Public Visitation will begin 10:00 AM Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Live Oak Baptist Church: 355 N. Washington Ave, New Braunfels, TX 78130 and continue until service time. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park with Army Honors.
