

Felix Garza, 53, of New Braunfels, passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Northeast Baptist Hospital in San Antonio. He was born to Andres Garza and Maria (Biera) Garza in Carrizo Springs, Texas on April 27, 1962. Felix grew up in Carrizo Springs, TX and graduated from High School there in 1981. After high school he married Roxcella Nieto on December 30, 1983. Felix went back to school to work on his Degree in Education. He graduated in 1997 from Heritage College in Washington State with a Degree in Education. He immediately entered the field of Elementary School Education and taught for many years in Lake Chelan, WA, Uvalde, TX, New Braunfels, TX and most recently for the last 15 years at Vogel Elementary School in Seguin, TX. He loved traveling, camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing billiards and darts. He was a parishioner at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church where he taught CCD. Felix loved life, always had a smile and was willing to help others who needed a hand.
He is survived by his loving wife, Roxie N. Garza of New Braunfels; daughters, Mia Garza and Adriana Garza of New Braunfels; mother, Maria Garza of Carrizo Springs; sister, Mary Martinez of Washington State; brother, Juan Garza of Moore, TX; brother, Andres Garza, Jr. of North Dakota; sister, Elsa Villarreal of Austin, TX; brother, Jose Garza of California; sister, Eva Nayola of San Antonio, TX; brother, Pedro Garza of Abilene, TX ; sister, Emma Gonzales of Austin, TX; grandson, Nathan Karlin; 26 nieces and nephews; 23 great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends
Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Wednesday at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be held 1:30 PM Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with burial to follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
