Hope E. Dean, 68, of New Braunfels, TX passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at the PAM Specialty Hospital in New Braunfels. She was born to Wilbur Wesley Whitehall and Edris Neely Whitehall in Houston, Texas on April 1, 1950. Hope graduated from Clear Creek High School in 1968 and attended Texas State University. She worked in administration for many years at the University of Texas in Austin and later for Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. She was a founding member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Church in Geronimo and was a member of River City Church in New Braunfels. She enjoyed spending time with her family fishing, camping, RVing, and traveling.
She is survived by her son, Wesley Dean and wife Sarah of Palmer Lake, CO; daughter, Renee Dean of New Braunfels, TX; granddaughter, Abigail Dean; brother, Wesley Whitehall and wife Diane of San Diego, CA; sister, Bonnie Smith and husband Terry of Elm Mott, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband Norman Dean.
Hope’s life will be celebrated at a Memorial Service on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels at 1:00p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be provided to River City Church of New Braunfels or any charity that is close to your heart.
