Iris Estes Johnson, 82, of New Braunfels, TX, passed away on Thursday, July 6, 2017 in San Antonio. She was born to Charles Sullivan Heath and Irene Kaich Heath in Brooklyn, New York on November 21, 1934.
She is survived by her sons, Stephen Estes of Oregon and Michael Estes of San Antonio, TX; brother, Albert “Butch” Heath of Houston, TX; nieces and nephews; dear friends, Wayne Parsons and wife Peggy; and numerous beloved friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband James C. Estes and husband, Alec Johnson; and sister, Lois Long. A special thanks to her nieces, Kelly Bradshaw and Tracy Richard for all of their loving care and support of Iris throughout her illness.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at Oakwood Baptist Church with burial to follow in Comal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to SAMMinistries or to Star of Hope Mission or to the Crisis Center of Comal County.
