Janice Elaine King

December 28, 1948 – June 10, 2025

Janice King, a proud Colorado native, passed away on June 10, 2025, at the age of 76. She was born on December 28, 1948, in Vilas, Colorado, and spent her life surrounded by the beauty and spirit of the state she loved.

Janice dedicated many years to her career as a cosmetologist and, more recently, as an esthetician, where she brought care and confidence to those she served. Her commitment to her work reflected her eye for beauty and her passion for personal connection.

Janice found joy in many of life’s simple pleasures—traveling, arts and crafts, country dancing, shopping, and spending time outdoors. But perhaps her favorite place was her patio, sitting quietly beneath the tree, soaking in the peace and natural beauty of Colorado.

She is survived by her daughters, Alli Martin and Dana Christy-Schafer (husband Chuck Schafer); her grandchildren, Gracyn Martin, Presley Schafer, and Briston Schafer.

Janice will be remembered for her independence, her creativity, and the quiet strength with which she moved through the world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
