I was just informed of the very sad news that Jeff Strahan is no longer with us.
Jeff was an extremely talented musician and a great influence on all those he touched with his music and through the positive vibe he passed along to all he met.
He always had a smile and a good word- I will never forget that about him.

I was really suffering emotionally from a loss,when I saw Jeff at a show and my heart was lifted.  It was so healing for me. I told him after the show and he simply said "that's what It's all about".  I'll never forget him.

Lois, you have my sincere sympathy and love.  Jeff was a wonderful, caring, sincere man that loved his family, friends and lived his life to the fullest.  He had an amazing gift that so many of us were very fortunate to get to hear and see.  He will always live on in the hearts and iPods of so many that loved him and his music. He will be missed but never forgotten.  If you need anything, let me know because I know what you are feeling.  Love you my sweet friend.

Our prayers and hearts go out to Lois and the kids and family. After the initial sadness, like just about everybody I have many wonderful memories about Jeff. When I think about him I just want to laugh! What a wonderfully loving, caring, creative and special person. Jeff had the humility and the vision to share love with everyone he encountered, he understood that was his purpose.  The love that comes from Above.  I love Jeff with all my heart.

I am so deeply saddened by the news of Jeff's passing. I consider myself very lucky to have seen his live shows at the Bradfordville blues club and to have met both Jeff and Lois. Rest in Peace Brother!

I am so sad to hear this news. I remember many many weekends spent at Jody Warrens house out in the garage where Jeff,Joe, Ted and Jody would practice. And many more pool parties that they would play at. I grew up with these guys. Wouldn't change a moment of those precious memories.  I only wish I could have gone to the memorial for Jeff, he is in my thoughts and my heart is heavy. Love them with all my heart. Praying for your family.

You will be missed buddy. Our prayers and support to the family. We only met Jeff a couple of times after his concerts. His kindness and down to earth spirit is what got us hooked onto his music. Not to mentioned his unbelievable skill and talent on the guitar! WOW! I am a beginner guitar player but, when I practice. Jeff's tunes are a must. "She only hates me when she's drunk" & "Take me to Texas" are a few of our favorites in my household. I have a baby girl and she listens to Blues Rock with me. We are so sorry to hear about Jeff.  We first met him when he rented our house in Bayfield, CO.  After that we got to know him and his music much better.  Jeff was an amazing musician and I will miss never hearing him play again.  He will be missed by many!

Carter and I met Jeff on a Tex-Mex Fandango Cruise and always tried to catch his shows in San Angelo after that.  Jeff was a great musician and delightful person.  He will be sorely missed.  We wish you peace and comfort in the days ahead.

My memories of Jeff go way back - I never knew Lois or any of his children - but I remember how much fun I had playing with him, Jody and Ted in NewSong when we just kids.  I found out just a couple of months ago that he lived almost right in my backyard and was playing music around here.  I'm sorry I did not get to hear or know the grown up Jeff.  My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends.

So sorry to hear about Jeff,my wife and I always made it out to the shows that he would play in Aztec New Mexico at Rubios and when I read the news thursday I was in disbelief and I still am ,Jeff seemed like a great person and I am sure both him and his music will be greatly missed ! To Jeffs familly and also to Lois I am so sorry for your loss.

I briefly met Jeff at Sealy Flats in San Angelo.  After speaking to him, he made me feel like we'd known each other for years. So sorry for your loss.  God has his arms wrapped around you

Jeff is the definition of a true Texas gentleman.  No greater love existed than that he had for Lois and his kids.  I will cherish the little time we spent together and always try to "...learn to forgive, but not to forget...put a smile on and spread it 'round the world."  I love you my friend.  Rest easy.

Jeff was a fine man with a great sense of humor. And as a musician, Jeff entertained and inspired so many. He & I talked about how cool it would be to play at Red Rocks. I was looking forward to that day when he would! Jeff will be missed in this world.

We feel privileged to have met Jeff and experienced his gift firsthand.  Lois, we are so sorry for the loss of your soulmate.  It was evident to all how crazy in love with you he was.  To Jeff's children, your father was a force like none other.  He lived his joy and spread it like dandelion seeds.  The part of him that lives on in you will be evident to anyone you come in contact with.  God bless you all in your grief.  He will be sorely missed.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jeff.  I used to work for Jeff years ago here in El Paso.  I was going through a really tough time and Jeff stepped up to the plate to help me.  I will never forget that and only wish that my thoughts about his kindness could have been communicated under different circumstances.  He was a very special person.

I am thankful for the times Jeff and Lois came into my life. Although our times were brief they were oh so enjoyable. His music sang to my heart and his kindness made me smile. "To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die." I do not claim this verse to be mine, but it expresses my thoughts so well. May God bring peace and hope to Lois, Jeff's children, and his family. He will be missed.

As in the music world, Jeff was a light among his classmates in law school. We are all heartbroken and offer our love and support to his wife, children and many friends and fans.

Words fail me at a time like this. I wish you could feel the love being sent your way from Ellen, my Dad and me. We wish peace and comfort upon you in these days of sadness and grief. One hot and sultry afternoon the summer of 2007, I walked into Gruene Hall to see where the amazing blues tunes were coming from.  I found a wild man uncaged!   He had long unruly hair, twinkling eyes, a huge engaging grin and a voice I knew immediately I would never forget. He was moving back & forth between a keyboard & guitar that he was making "talk" to a very appreciative audience!  I stared, smiled, woo-hooed and applauded!  The very next tune he was on our table top & he was barefoot!  My eyes wide, he laughed, tossed that hair back & played that guitar right in my face like I had never heard before! I became a bonfide fan that day.  Over the next few years I had the pleasure of getting to know him. So much talent, so much love and kindness for people, an amazing abillity to sing songs that reach out & touch you.  Thank you Strahan family for sharing Jeff with all of us.  He lives on in our hearts and through his music-never forgotten. Deepest sympathy for your loss.  Many prayers coming your way. R.I.P. Jeff.  See you at home in eternity! I first met Jeff in the capacity of atty. client, He took my case when no one else would. He believed in me when others said I had no chance. We won... I got to know him while he was in El Paso, and he was a true warrior and an excellent and extremely talented musician. His song "Superman" says it all. My friend Kathy and I worked with Jeff many, many years ago at Kemp Smith law firm in El Paso.  We often went to hear him play.  He was a super nice guy and a great musician.  We were very sad to hear of his passing and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.  He is singing with the angels now.
