

John Albert Gomez, 53, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on October 4, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on September 17, 1970, in New Braunfels, John was a beloved brother, father, uncle, and friend.
John didn't know a stranger and had the remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went. He had a joke ready to share, always aiming to bring a smile to those around him. Throughout his life, John never lost his faith and his love for his family was evident until his last breath.
In his career, John pursued his passion for cars and mechanics. He began developing his skills at a young age and went on to work at Blue Bonnet Motors and Jiffy Lube, where he applied his expertise and dedication.
Outside of work, John found joy in his hobbies. He loved to barbecue while cheering on his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. These moments of relaxation and camaraderie brought him happiness and allowed him to unwind from the demands of daily life.
John is survived by his son, John Albert Gomez Jr., his daughter, Alexis Gomez, grandson, Ilijah Gomez; his sister, Deborah Sanchez; grandparents, Juan and Florencia Aleman; his niece, Mandy Sanchez; nephew, Matthew Sanchez; ; his great-nieces, Estrella Lopez and Mattilynn Sanchez, his great-nephews, Jeremiah Sanchez, Eli Sanchez, and Milo Sanchez, as well as his forever brother-in-law, Martin Sanchez and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother,
Elena Aleman Gomez, his brother, Ismael Gomez, and his great-grandparents, Juan and Florencia Aleman.
A visitation for John will be held Thursday, October 12, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. A funeral mass will occur Friday, October 13, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 138 W Austin St, New Braunfels, Texas 78130
John's warm personality, unwavering faith, and love for his family will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed, but his memory and the impact he had on others will live on in their hearts.
