

Johnnie Lucille Bertram was born to James Guy Livergood and Alma Johanna Thormaehlen Livergood on July 6, 1922. She completed her earthly journey on January 3, 2010, from complications of pancreatic cancer. Johnnie spent her early years in the Ricardo area below Kingsville, Texas. She married Alvin Bertram on December 13, 1941. After he was discharged from the service in 1945, they made their home in Bishop, Texas, where Alvin worked the family farm and Johnnie was a homemaker. She was active in St. John Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary while living in Bishop. She was also very supportive in all her daughters’ activities. In 1989 Johnnie and Alvin moved to New Braunfels. Johnnie is survived by three daughters: Sandra Kaye Pfluger of New Braunfels, Diane Brawley (Mike) of Hondo, and Betty Wilson (Allen) of Kingsville; six grandchildren: Clay Pfluger (Cindy), Jeffery Stivors (Tanya), Jason Wilson (Tanya), Michael Brawley (Kimberley), Curtis Brawley (Kari), and Amanda Radford (Brandon); 11 great-grandchildren; sister Vernie Jarmon; and brother James Livergood (Suzy). Funeral services will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 with Pastor Marvin (Danny) Koenig officiating with burial to follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Zoeller Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 5, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
