Kay Marlene Teague, age 79, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and cherished community member, passed away on March 19, 2025. Born in McAllen Texas, to parents William and Mildred. Kay brought laughter, warmth, and light to all those she touched during her 79 years. Kay worked for the same employer for 40 plus years, Palmer Steel in McAllen. Baking was her hobby and her cherry pies were loved by everyone. She’s remembered by her children Stacey Dutton and husband Tracy, James Scribner Jr and wife Kim, grandchildren Haley Dutton, Kaden Scribner, Lauren Kate Scribner, sisters Judi Gutowski, Jan Taggart and husband Bill. Kay was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Gentry Teague and their 4 dogs, who she loved dearly.
A family gathering to celebrate her life will be held privately. She will be buried at Fort Sam Houston along side her husband.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in her memory.
