

After being stationed in San Antonio serving in the military, LeRoy moved back to San Antonio in the mid 1960’s where he met and married Dorthlin Rose Wilson. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. In addition to sharing in the responsibilities of working with Dorthlin on their ranch, he worked in the oil and gas transportation industry for over 50 years, with his final role at Midtex Oil where he retired in 2006.
LeRoy enjoyed the outdoors as well as spending time with his family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved playing jokes; and teasing and spoiling his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed his retirement going on many trips and cruises, including his regular gambling road trips to Louisiana.
He was a longtime member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and was an honorary life member of the Knights of Columbus volunteering on various events and projects.
He is survived by his wife, Dorthlin, sons James Wilson and wife Neva, Anthony Klar and wife Brenda, daughters Diana Henze and husband Donald, Mary Jonas and husband David, Roxann Wendell and husband Paul, 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; as well as his brother Donald Wilson and sister Loretta. LeRoy was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters and infant daughter Dorthlin June.
Public visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 15th from 5 to 9 pm with rosary at 7 pm. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with interment to follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery in Selma.
