Linda was the youngest daughter of Dale O. Burt and Gwen M. Burt. She graduated from Bellaire High School in Houston, and then attended the University of Houston where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts.
Linda's signature was her smile that lit up every space she was in. Her fine arts degree fed her lifelong creativity, which found many outlets. Many of her friends and family treasure the one-of-a-kind button trees, stamp ornaments, sequined eggs, and floral arrangements she created. Her childlike sense of wonder and fun enhanced everything she did.
In Linda's words - her treasures were her three children. She instilled in them her sense of fairness, love of family, and her wicked sense of humor. She had an incomparable sense of humor.
Linda had a passion for collections, many of which started in her childhood. Her collections included Coca-Cola memorabilia, rooster and chicken art, buttons, Wizard of Oz collectibles, stamps, antique postcards, Christmas ornaments, and her famous Dutch bearded irises. Her home was known around town as "the Iris house" for the boulevard of Dutch irises she cultivated out front. Not only did these bring her joy, but they also brought joy and beauty to those around her.
Linda was blessed with a late-life marriage to her husband, Abram. Their blended family added four bonus children and many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for Linda to love. Together, she and Abram enjoyed a love of family, good food, dancing, and volunteering at the VFW.
Linda is survived by her husband Abram Campos; her sister Donna Simmons; her daughter Natascha Reynoso & partner J. Patrick Bruner, her daughter Sophia Vega & husband Sergio Vega, and her son Celso Reynoso; her bonus-children Carol & Joe Loughlin, Abram Jr. & Shelly Campos, Edward & Sofia Campos, and Scott & Amber Campos; grandchildren & bonus-grandchildren Asiah, Rebecca, Logan, Timothy, Kate, Ethan, Brenna, Hailey, Lindsey, Shannon, Joshua, Desiree, Austin, Miles, Parker, Bryson, Edward Jr., Anthony, Daniel, and Zoe.
