Matilde was born in San Luis De Cordero, Durango, Mexico of Jorge Franco, and Maria Del Refugio Jurado. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 bringing her sons to join her in 1960. She always worked tirelessly as a professional seamstress and a nanny to provide for her sons.
Matilde was predeceased by her parents and her son Porfirio. She leaves behind her son Ramon and his wife Mariette, four grandsons: George, Alberto, Bernardo, and Carlos and ten great-grandchildren.
She loved her family, gardening, sewing, and cooking the best Mexican food! She will be missed dearly and remembered for all her deeds, especially her beautiful smile, kindness, and wisdom.
