Maurice E. Ward

Maurice Edward Ward was called into our Lord's fold on June 3rd, 2013. Born on February 9, 1941, he was the son of the late Walter and Viola Ward (nee Denton). As a young man, he served in the US Army. and later worked at Braniff Airlines for 19 years at the San Antonio Airport. He also worked for Braniff's parent company at Love Field in Dallas, before relocating back to New Braunfels.

Maurice loved to collect and restore classic cars, playing dominos with Ted and Carol (cheating was never involved), playing a variety of computer games, and watching Western classics.

Maurice is survived by his wife, Sue Carolyn Ward, daughters Karen Diane Ward and Janet Suzanne Ward, brother Walter (Sonny) Ward and wife Virigina, beloved cousins Jesse (Tommy) Ward and his wife Ethel, and Jackie Ward and wife Helen; and brother-in-law Paul Hinman and his wife Janice, as well as extended family, and his favorite "grand-pups" BlaKie and BritNi.

Funeral services will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 7th 2013 with Reverend Don Somerville officiating. Visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 6th.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or the Guadalupe County Humane Society.
