

Milton M. Wagner, 88, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 at the Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels. He was born to Richard Wendelin Wagner and Clara (Waxler) Wagner in Hays County, Texas on August 30, 1926. Milton grew up on a farm and enjoyed life out in the open, raising animals and riding horses. He loved hunting and fishing and he especially loved the company of family and friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was known as the practical joker of the family, always ready for a good laugh. Baptized and raised Lutheran, Milton went on to serve his county in the United States Army. After serving in the military, Milton returned home and began working for the Mission Valley Textile Mill from which he retired after thirty plus years of employment. Later in life Milton met his soul mate, Mary Mable, the two fell in love and were married on April 1, 1972.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Mable (Massie) Wagner; brothers, Marvin Wagner, Gilbert Wagner, and Edwin Wagner; and sisters, Stella Haecker, Esther Kossaeth, and Veleska Rohde.
He is survived by step children, son, Michael Courtney; and daughter, Diane Capp; nieces, Margie Miller, Arlene Hill, Evelyn Morris, Elaine Braune and Linda Bode; nephews, Eugene Haecker, Robert Haecker, Delbert Wagner, Norbert Wagner, Elton Rohde, Leroy Rohde, and Steven Wagner.
Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Monday at Zoeller Funeral Home and will continue until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Zoeller Funeral Home with Reverend Paul J. Zwarich officiating. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
