

Nolan Behrens passed away on Wednesday, October 26,2016. He was born February 10,1932 in Zuehl, TX. He married Martha Kopplin on his birthday in 1951. He moved to New Braunfels in 1948 and worked for 30+ years at Mission Valley Mills/West Point Pepperell. He was known by many as Mr. Nolan. After the mill closed, Nolan and Martha lived in several places, but New Braunfels was always home in their hearts. A dedicated family man, he taught his children to love the Lord, and he shared God's love with everyone he met. He became a licensed minister in 1974.
Nolan is survived by his wife Martha, daughter, Iris Bowden, son, Mark Behrens (Glenda); grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Jill Bowden, Jason Bowden (Tiffany) and their daughters, Gracie and Emma; Kyle Behrens (Jessica) and son, Chase Nolan, and Kelsey Timmes (David). Also, he is survived by his nephew, Frank Behrens (Bobbie) and their family. Meeting him in heaven are his parents, Herman and Ida Behrens; brother Franklin Behrens(Elvira), and great granddaughter Avery Bowden. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. David Hernandez and Dr. Jaime Diaz, as well as the MICU nurses at Christus Santa Rosa NB.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Thursday, November 3 at Zoeller Funeral Home. A celebration of Nolan's life will begin at 2 pm Friday, November 4 at Community Christian Church, 1750 McQueeney Rd., New Braunfels. In honor of his love for the Lord, memorials may be made to Greater Life Church, 134 Enchantment Lane, NB 78130.
