Pauline Maria Marbach of Seguin went to be with the Lord Thursday, September 13, 2018 at the age of 86. Pauline was born on March 3, 1932 in Kendalia, Texas to Fritz and Hulda Hoffmann and lived nearly her entire life in the San Antonio, Converse, New Braunfels, and Honey Creek area. From a young age she baked cakes for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and other celebrations, touching thousands of lives with her generosity and artistry. Always concerned about the wellbeing of others, she volunteered time at her church and for other organizations, including the American Cancer Society, driving people to and from treatment appointments. She found the good in nearly everything. She always had a beautiful garden and enjoyed sharing this love with her family. Well into her sixties, Pauline went to college to become a certified Master Gardener.
Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Andrew E. Marbach, and sons, Steve and Tom Marbach, and great grandson, Paul Jeremiah Sluka. She is survived by daughter, Deborah Marbach and husband Phil Mitchell; son, Gary Marbach and wife Teri; son, Keith Marbach and wife Alexandra; daughters-in-law, Kathy Marbach and Tressa Marbach; 10 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren, and her brother, Paul Hoffmann and wife Bernice.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Zoeller Funeral Home in New Braunfels, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in San Antonio, followed by a short reception.
