Paz R. Rodriguez Muniz

Paz Rodriguez Muniz of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2013 after a short illness. The memorial service will be held at Valley Memorial Gardens in Mission, Texas on Friday, March, 8, 2013. Please call Valley Memorial Gardens for time (956-686-8101). Private burial will follow. Paz was born in McAllen, TX on January 3, 1927. She lived in McAllen for 84 years and moved to New Braunfels 1 ½ yrs ago. Paz was preceded in death by her husband, Cosme A. Muniz, Sr. They were married for 25 wonderful years. Paz worked as a nurse for Dr. Lauro Guerra for 14 years. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading and spending time with her family. Paz is survived by her 7 children: Cosme A. (Lydia) Muniz , Jr.; Viola (Jim) Muniz Napier; Leocadio (Regina) Muniz; Genoveva M. (Lauro) Garcia; Alberto (Annette) Muniz; Blanca M. (Jon) Martinez and Graciela M. (Alex Jr.) Rodriguez. She had 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She also had many loving nieces and nephews. Paz is preceded in death by her parents Faustino and Candelaria Rodriguez; 3 sisters and 3 brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the MDS (Myelodysplastics Syndrome) Foundation at 1-800-MDS-0839 in memory of Paz R. Muniz. The family of Paz R.
