Raul S. Carrizales Sr.

Our beloved Father and Grandfather Raul S. Carrizales, Sr., of New Braunfels, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 20, 2010. He was born February 2, 1930 to Ysidro Carrizales and Eloisa (Serrato) Carrizales in Lockhart, TX. He married Carmen Rodriguez of Martindale, TX on July 1, 1951 in Austin, TX. He is survived by his loving wife, Carmen Carrizales; sons, Raul S. Carrizales, Jr. and wife Andrea and Ysidro Carrizales, Sr. and wife Maria Theresa; daughters, Gloria C. Herrera and husband Domingo and Ana Lopez and husband Juan all of New Braunfels; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ysidro and Eloisa (Serrato) Carrizales and step-mother Maria (Carrasco) Carrizales; brothers Ysidro Serrato Carrizales, Sr., Esequiel Serrato Carrizales; and daughters, Rosemary R. Carrizales and San Juanita R. Carrizales;

Public visitation will begin 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Zoeller Funeral Home with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will begin again at 8:00 AM on Wednesday at the funeral home and continue until 11:00 AM when the service departs in procession to the church. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at the Holy Family Catholic Church with Reverend Jim Wasser, M.S.F. – celebrant. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Kidney Fund.
