Ruby Faye Seeger

Ruby was the first born to Gustav Hedtke and Viola Tieman Hedtke, on October 1, 1934, in Karnes County, Texas where she grew up on a farm. She was a graduate from Karnes City High School after graduation she went to vocational school for accounting. Ruby married Elroy Seeger on October 20th, 1956. In 1968 Ruby and Elroy became a permanent resident of New Braunfels, Texas. Ruby worked various jobs, she was an office manager for New Braunfels smoke house and was a teacher’s aide at Comal ISD. Upon retirement she enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, quilting, and doing craft projects.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents Gus and Viola Hedtke, her beloved husband Elroy Seeger, son Terrel Seeger and her two brothers Allen and Larry Hedtke .

Ruby is survived by three of her sons, Gerald Seeger and wife Laura, James Seeger, Robert Seeger and wife Kathy, Grandchildren, Jennifer Schultz and husband Brandon, Lyndee Seeger, Mickayla Seeger, Jesse Seeger, Shelby Seeger, Devin Seeger, Reese Seeger, Jaiden Seeger, Jeff Seeger and wife Kelly, Scott Seeger and wife Adriana, and numerous great grandchildren.

We will forever cherish our memories of Ruby, whose warmth and kindness left a mark on us all. She leaves behind a legacy of tender love and commitment to family and friends, and we are forever grateful for the role she played in all of our lives.

Visitation services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024, from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Zoeller Funeral Home, 615 Landa St., New Braunfels, Texas 78130. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
