She graduated from New Braunfels High School in in 1966 and served as the Vice President of Arts Club.
She was skilled in factory work and worked home healthcare, housekeeping, and retail sales, but her proudest job of all was that of a mother. One of her last jobs was working in Community In Schools, which she thoroughly enjoyed. Throughout her life, she also had a passion for fashion and art. She had beautiful handwriting and was talented in various forms of art and was proud to earn the Promise Education Direct Diploma for Artist in 2004.
Sandra enjoyed spending time with loved ones, whether it be at holidays or Real family reunions, and especially loved time with family and friends at the beach.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her son, Troy McLeod.
She is survived by her son, Travis (September) McLeod of New Braunfels, Texas; daughter Tessa (John) Hernandez of Miami, Florida; grandchildren Austin (Rebecca) McLeod, Brielle McLeod, Paige DeJohn, Brooke (James) Schuetz, and Mackenzie McLeod (fiancé Alejandro Gonzalez), John Hernandez, Victor Hernandez; and seven great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Suncrest Hospice and Hope Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one this past year and in her final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Zoeller Funeral Home on Friday, January 10, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Visitation with the family will begin at 3:00 p.m.
The family asks that you join them in wearing something green and/or leopard print in honor of Sandra, as these were some of her favorite styles.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in her honor to Hope Hospice or the Greater New Braunfels Arts Council.
