Bill, very sorry to hear about your wife's passing and I know from what you have shared that she was a wonderful and godly woman.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family and may God bless and comfort you at this sad time.
It may be helpful to encourage remembrance of the apostle Paul's message to believers in Philippians 4:6-7; "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."

My sweet Grandma,
I have nothing but cherished memories with you, and I will miss you dearly.  I loved spending week-long stays with you in the country when school was out for the summer.  How we enjoyed the warm breeze on your front porch while you read your novels and I frequently interrupted you to talk about horses.  How you and I religiously walked around the trail every morning and just talked.   You always made exceptional Sunday lunches that would put Julia Child to shame.  Your radiant smile and laugh are unforgettable and were contagious. I can still hear your voiceso sweet and warm.  From a young age, I was always envious of your classiness and chic.  Your collection of shoes was nothing short of amazing either.  I could see, as well as everyone around you that you loved life. You will always be in my heart and I will think about you often.  It was a true pleasure to have you as my Grandma.  I love you.

Bill and family, we are so saddened by the passing of Sandra.  She was such an inspiration to us.  Not only was she a good friend but also a person of great faith.  God truly blessed us with her presence.  Our prayer for you is for the Lord to hold you and keep you in His bosom as you go forth holding out the His light to others as great as the stars in the universe.

You were a light that always shined bright. From the day we met you have been so welcoming and so kind. You always had a smile on your face and book in your hands. Love and prayers to all of you. Sandra was a very special person and a great example of a Christian woman. She will be truly missed.

The gratitude that I have in my heart because I had you in my life is something I have thanked God for so many times in the past  I will never forget all that I have learned from you and all that you did for me and our family.  I treasured my relationship with you and the fun we had together.  You loved me as if I were your own.  You encouraged me to be a Godly woman, wife and mother.  You exemplified what a servant of Christ really is supposed to be.  And you showed me always the joy of living every day as if it were the most special day in the world  a date never mattered.  

I will always be the most grateful because you gave me your son, my husband.  He learned from you and Dad how to love the Lord and love his family.  He learned tenderness of heart and being able to bring a smile to those around him from you.  Being married to a Godly man is such a blessing.  You had it with Dad, and I have it with Randall.  Best of all  as I look at my sweet man, I see YOUR smile.  I loved you with all of my heart, and I will miss you so much, but I will continue to strive towards the goal so that one day I will be able to see you in the Promised Land.

Dear Bill,

May God grant you all the peace knowing and trusting this is temporary.  I remember when you led a devotion about marriage and the importance of this lifelong union and you said that Sandra was one of the finest young ladies around when young but know you massage her arthritic feet and you love her more now.  Bill you have practiced Ephesians 5 in the context of Husbands and wives and Christ and the Church.  May God be glorified because of your example of a Godly husband.

I will never forget your loving smile, your laughter, and your open heart that was willing to share love with all the people in your life. We will miss you, Grandma.
