My deepest sympathy. I played basketball at Western Wyoming and played against Terry when he was at Nebraska Western. I was recently looking at old newspaper clippings of our games and saw when we played against each other. I googled Terry’s name and was saddened to hear this news. I didn’t know Terry personally but always respected his great basketball abilities and his respectful demeanor on the the court. He could shoot the basketball with anyone and was a great scorer. 
My regards to his wife Rita and his children. Terry is missed by all those that knew him.

T. Yancey, My good friend, we were friends since 4th grade. We played against each other in elementary & high school. (St.Leanders, St Joes & St. Elizabeth).We were good friends in our high school years and after we graduated. You will be missed, God has put you in a better place.Peace my friend.

A year ago today you passed on to live with The Lord. I've missed you desperately everyday that you've passed on. My heart this past year have been flooded with memories of things we did and plans we made for the future. I've had days I didn't want to get out of bed and I think what would Terry say. You would tell me life goes on. I can hear you saying Rita you are the strongest person I know, so I get up. You use to tell me honey I love you so much I love your soul I didn't understand. I now understand what you where saying. Well Terry we've have come full circle because I now to love your soul. Until we are together again Rest In Paradise my sweet husband Forever in my Heart.

Terry was so special to me growing up,we went from 2nd to 8th Grade together. He was funny, personable and was a leader.

I am not sure why I thought of Terry tonight but I did and I googled him. I am saddened to hear he passed away. He and I played basketball together at St. Leander's in the 5th and 6th grade and he was a dominant player even then. I remember our great battles with St. Felicitas. It was always them or us to win the championship and he was the team star. God bless his family.

Hey Brother Terry, I miss you so much, I think of the times when you would come to my house and stay for hours. I am so sorry to hear about  the passing of Terry.  I went to high school with him in Alameda.   He was kind, positive, sweet natured.  It was fun to be with Terry.  You are all in my prayers.  God Bless You Terry and God Bless your family.

I cannot imagine the hurt of losing a husband and father, but know that Uncle Terry was loved and made an impact on so many. I remember first meeting Uncle Terry when we visited in the old house in Texas and Terry let us "stay up" with the adults. We were all tired but he let us stay up and we played games of UNO (I always won) and ate Terry's "famous" tacos (I don't think he danced during this time). I remember Busch Gardens and you all coming down to VA, what a fun trip! You always made everyone laugh but knew how to get down to business soon. Thank you for being an encouragement to so many people. We love you and will miss you. Auntie Rita and fam - we love you too and will be here in the coming days, months, and years. Uncle Terry's memory will never be replaced, but we will build new memories upon his legacy.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Terry Yancy.  He was a great guy.  I worked for 10 years at Wal-Mart and one of the things he said at his meeting was "When you walk through the door of Wal-Mart, I want to see a smile on your face.  Whatever any problems you have are left outside that door".  That was the way Terry was when he walked in the door.  Always smiling.  We will miss him.

My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.  Terry was a wonderful man full of life hope and love.  He brightened a room the moment he walked in.  No matter what was going on in his own life, he was always there to inspire others.  He will be truly missed by many.  May his passion and zest for life, love, and compassion live on by the many lives he touched.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

So sorry to hear that Terry pased away. I remember the 1st Thanksgiving that my husband and I moved down here, we didn't have enough money to get much  and Terry offered to pay for us to get all the trimmings. I just want the family to know that I wish I could be there for you.

Mr. Yancey served our organization as a member of the Board of Volunteers, since 2009. Mr. Yancey was the Store Manager for the Wal-Mart Supercenter, here in San Marcos, where he was able to expand his spirit of giving to youth organizations like ours. Mr. Yancey's support for our organization is evidenced by the corporate and personal relationships that we have today with the local and corporate Wal-Mart family. My wife and I have so many fond memories of Terry that we can't even begin to write them all here.  Terry was a great boss/mentor/friend.  He was truly a great person.  One of his favorite sayings that I remember him alwys saying was "Go out there and be somebody".  He will always be a part of our lives because of what he taught us.
