

Theresa Jean Ricks Lambert, beloved sister, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, at the age of 72. She was born to George Ricks and Mary Jo Autrey Ricks in Brady, on August 7, 1952. Theresa lived a life of dedication, compassion, and boundless enthusiasm.
Theresa attended Lake View High School in San Angelo and later graduated from McMurry University with a degree in Nursing. Her career was marked by her commitment to service. She worked in many roles throughout her career in health care, ranging from a Medical Assistant to her true calling as a Registered Nurse and House Supervisor. She spent her career enriching countless lives with her expertise, kindness and unwavering dedication to her patients. She worked throughout the state as well as the nation at hospitals in Abilene, San Angelo, San Antonio and Boerne, as well as communities in Arizona and Connecticut during her time as a traveling nurse. After retiring in 2020, Theresa enjoyed the opportunity to reflect on her remarkable career and the many lives she had touched.
An avid sports enthusiast, Theresa found immense joy in supporting her grandchildren’s athletic pursuits. Whether it was volleyball, softball, dance, soccer or basketball, she made it a point to attend every game, no matter the location across Texas. When she wasn’t watching her grandchildren play she could be found catching a Cowboys football game or Lady Longhorns volleyball game on the television. Her passion for sports and her family’s achievements were a source of great pride and joy for her.
Theresa is survived by her children, Leslie Thompson of Canyon Lake, Jeffrey Robinson of Floresville, and Shelly Weiswurm and husband Ian of New Braunfels; 9 grandchildren, Gregory Robinson, Benjamin Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Taylor O’Dell, Alexis Robinson, Allie Robinson, Fallon Weiswurm, Owen Weiswurm, and August Weiswurm; 8 great-grandchildren, Caden, Emerson, Koy, Rylee, Hayden, Kysler, Haven and Lynx; sisters, Rita Smetana, Connie White, Sharon Waldrop, and Kathy Savage; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
A Celebration of Life will be held on October 12, 2024 at 3:00pm in San Angelo.
