

Victoria Suarez Campos, aged 92, of New Braunfels, Texas went to be with her Lord on March 12, 2014. Victoria was born in Coupland, Texas to Luis Suarez and Paula Barbosa Suarez on June 15, 1921. She was a life-long resident of New Braunfels, Texas.
Victoria is survived by her husband of 68 years, Victor Campos; her six children, Victor Campos and his wife, Ramona, of Weslaco; Dr. Juan Manuel Campos and his wife, Esther, of McAllen; Atanacio Campos and his wife, Sarah; Daniel Campos and his wife, Lucy; Dr. Carlos Campos and his wife, Isabel; and Nena Ramirez and her husband, Richard. Victoria had 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Guadalupe Suarez; her sister, Minerva Hernandez; her sister, Maria Martinez; and 90 nieces and nephews. Victoria is now in heaven with her siblings Luisa Munoz, Eufracia Ortega, Ramona Villarreal, Juan Suarez, Daniel Suarez, Gabriel Garcia, Pedro Suarez, and her parents.
Victoria was a resilient woman who always put faith and family first. A life-long member of the First Presbyterian Church of New Braunfels, she was an active participant in the women’s group. Victoria was an avid gardener, and loved to spend time outside at her home in the Texas Hill Country. She enjoyed craft making and sewing, and was well known for her delicious home-cooked meals. Her wisdom and bright smile made her home warm and welcoming.
Victoria will always be remembered for the Proverbs 31 life she lived: “Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.”
A visitation will be held at Zoeller Funeral Home on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 4 to 7 pm. Funeral services will begin at 10 am on Monday, March 17th also at Zoeller Funeral Home with interment to follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
