Waylon Gruene Malone

Waylon Gruene Malone was granted his angel wings on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at University Hospital in San Antonio at the age of 8. He was born in New Braunfels, Texas on May 27, 2008 to Chris and Stacy Malone. Waylon fought a long and hard battle against Neuroblastoma for 5 1/2 years. He was a tough and strong fighter until the very end. Waylon will always be remembered for his infectious smile and positive attitude. He liked Pokémon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Yu-gi-oh, and playing his Wii. Waylon touched so many lives. He loved his friends so much. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege and honor of knowing him.

Waylon is survived by his parents, Chris and Stacy Malone, twin sister, Morgan; grandparents, Jim and Kathy Scott, and Patricia Malone; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Zoeller Funeral Home from 3:00pm to 7:00pm. The Funeral Service will take place on Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran at 10:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Hill Country Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Children’s Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation in memory and honor of Waylon at: CNCF, 360 W. Schick Rd.
