

Weetona M. Granzin, 80, of New Braunfels, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital. She was born to Erwin F. Herber and Iona (Cain) Herber in San Antonio, Texas on April 30, 1936. Tona was a true servant of the Lord and a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Tona and her husband Dalvin and their sons founded Granzins Meat Market in 1981. Upon her retirement in 2000 she enjoyed spending time with family and caring for her flowers.
She is survived by her husband Dalvin Granzin; daughter, Candyce Schumann and husband David; son, Gary Granzin and Lisette Granzin; son, Mark Granzin and wife Linda; daughter, Dawn Brooks; daughter, Michele Wiedner; and son Michael Granzin and wife Gwen; grandchildren, Christy Ross, Terry Todd, Amanda Wiedner, Travis Granzin, Zane Granzin, Staton Wiedner, Ryann Granzin and Jake Granzin; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brothers, Franklin Herber, LA Herber and Clifton Herber. She is preceded in death by her parents; and son-in-law, Regan Wiedner.
Public Visitation will begin 5:00 PM Sunday at Zoeller Funeral Home with a Vigil Service and Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 noon Monday December 19. 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Reverend Tony Pesek-Celebrant. Interment will follow in Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude’s of New Braunfels.
