Andrzej Polewacz

Andrzej was born on June 4, 1957 in Lidzbark Warminski in Poland to the late Stanislaw Polewacz and Jadwiga Polewacz. Andrzej was a devoted husband and father who cherished time spent with family and had a tremendous love for his grandchildren. He loved riding his motorcycle and visited lots of places with his wife Halus. He was a very determined person and always accomplished his dreams.

Andy will be most remembered for his rather unique personality and great sense of humor that attracted a lot of people whom he became friends with. In addition to his beloved wife Halina, he is survived and will be dearly missed by: his daughter Katarzyna Zakrzewski and her husband Pawel of New Britain, his daughter Klaudyna Polewacz of Middletown, his step-son Seweryn Rutkowski and his wife Izabella of East Berlin, his five precious grandchildren; Kaya, Wiktor, Paul, Maximilian and Ala.

A time of visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2017 from 4-7pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. His funeral service will begin Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 8:30-9:00am for a brief gathering at the funeral home, followed by his funeral liturgy 9:30AM in Sacred Heart Church.
