Diane V. Baiardi

Diane V. (Scarrozzo) Baiardi, 73, of Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 after a brief illness. Diane was born on April 15, 1940 in New Britain and was the daughter of the late James and Fally (Rossitto) Scarrozzo. She graduated in 1958 from NBHS. She had been employed by the New Britain Herald for many years and retired from Allcare/Pharmamerica.

She was a member of St. Ann Church as well as active in Laurel Lanes Bowling Leagues and the Marconi Club. Diane enjoyed going to grandsons ballgames and swim meets, casino trips with friends and family. She spent most of her time reading, gardening and precious time spent with family. She will be most remembered for her kindness, love and compassion.

Diane is survived and will be dearly missed by her son; James Baiardi and his wife Lori of Harwinton, CT and her daughter Susan Baiardi and partner Brad Lyons of Plainville, her brother, William Scarrozzo and wife Susan of Berlin, her precious three grandsons; Tyler, Cameron and Brenden and also Danielle, Brandi, and Andrea who affectionately called her grandma. She also leaves a special cousin; Linda Tibbetts of Coram, NY, her nieces and nephews; Jay and Neera, Kristi, David and Emily and her special kitties: Dobby and Winky. Diane was predeceased by a brother, James L. Scarrozzo.

Funeral services will begin Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 9:00am from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00am in St. Ann Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
