Dolores R. (Santa Maria) Cote, 84, widow of George M. Cote Sr., of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Hospital of Central CT, New Britain. She was born in New Britain, daughter to the late Frank and Rose (Casperini) Santa Maria and was a lifetime resident. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, playing Bingo and watching her Red Sox play.
She is survived and will be missed by her three children: Linda Cote of New Britain, Jeannine Spear of Rochester, NH and George M. Cote Jr. and his wife Robbin of Kensington, a sister, Elizabeth Marcella of Niantic, her three precious grandchildren: Eric Cote, Matthew Cote and Kaitlyn Spear and several nieces and nephews and her loved puppy Max. She was also predeceased by three brothers, Frank, Anthony and James Santa Maria and four sisters, Jenny Rubon, Theresa Frick, Ida Kaszczuk, and Anna Branca.
A time of visitation will be held Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 1:00-3:00pm at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Prayer Service at 3:00pm. Burial will be at a later date.
