

Eda C. (Mattarocci) Pattavina, 90, widow of Angelo Pattavina since 1974, of Bristol, entered into God's care on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at home, surrounded by her family. Eda was born in New Britain and was daughter to the late Philip and Maria (Monaco) Mattarocci. She was a devoted communicant of St. Gregory the Great Church, Bristol. Eda had worked at Stanley Works, in the State prosecutor's office in New Britain and Bristol and had been owner and operator of Pat's Corner Luncheonette for 10 years.
She was an avid Red Sox fan and UCONN Woman's fan. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family, traveling, gardening, ironing and reading. Her time spent with family was precious to her. She never missed her grandchildren's events and loved to host family gatherings in her home. Eda also enjoyed her precious time spent babysitting her grandchildren. She will be remembered for living every minute to the fullest.
She is survived and will be dearly missed by her devoted daughter; Mary Beth Morelli and husband Louis, with whom she made her home, of Bristol, a son; Daniel Pattavina and wife Faith of Florida, a sister; Natalie Olashaw of Bristol, a brother; Albert Mattarocci and wife Norma of Southington, her five precious grandchildren; Corinne and James Mazon, Michael and Michelle Morelli, Danielle and Kevin Poirer, Nicole Pattavina and Thomas Pattavina, her sweet six great grandchildren: Jillian and Benjamin Mazon, Nicholas, Jackson, Samantha & Madison Morelli and several nieces and nephews. Eda also leaves many, many dearly loved family and very close friends who loved her very much, including Fran Pattavina.
In additional to her beloved husband, Angelo and her parents, she was also predeceased by Donato Russo.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at 9:30am at New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by the funeral liturgy at 11AM in St. Gregory the Great Church, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain. Visitation hours will be Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, 5-8pm at the funeral home. Memorial donations may also me made to St. Jude's Childrens Research, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
