Florence G. Zaniewski

Florence G. (Kaczynski) Zaniewski, 101, of New Britain, CT left this life peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2023 at home with two of her loving daughters by her side. She was the loving wife of 71 years to the late Peter H. Zaniewski. Born in New Britain she had a passion for reading, shopping, knitting, crocheting, coloring and sewing. Her biggest enjoyment was spending time with her family, children, grand children and great grand children. She always remembered every birthday and anniversary to send a card out, including this past Christmas.

Florence leaves behind her 5 children; Christine Zaniewski of West Hartford, Felicia Recht of Manilus, NY, Karin Kaczynski of New Britain, Peter Zaniewski (Jill) of Middletown, Andrea Maxson (Clark) of Old Saybrook. Her 6 grandchildren, David (Bonnie) Recht, Adam (Margaret) Zaniewski, Jennifer (Brent) Recht, Hillary (Matthew) Smith, Victoria Maxson and Charlie (Laura) Maxson. Her great grandchildren, Marlowe Recht, Logan and Ella Smith who she cherished with all her heart. Her long time friend Reggie Pina and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Stanislaw and Stanislawa Kaczynski as well as five siblings, Jerry Sobiech, Alex Kaczynski, Henry Kaczynski, Annela Taylor and Sophie Kolenda.

There are no calling hours. A private Christian burial was held at CT State Veteran's Cemetery Middletown, CT. New Britain Memorial- Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain have been entrusted with the arrangements.
