Gennaro Ubaldo, 78, of Farmington, CT died peacefully at home on April 4th. He was born in Naples, Italy on March 27, 1946 to Antonio and Rosaria (D’Arena) Ubaldo. He was raised in New Britain, CT and was a graduate of New Britain High School in 1965. Growing up in New Britain, he was an active member of the TK club. He was always the life of the party and developed life long friendships with all the guys. He worked at Stanley Works in New Britain and retired from the company. He loved sports, especially the New York Yankees and would watch the games with his daughters and also attended some games. Most of all he loved to spend time with family and friends.
Gennaro is survived by his two beloved daughters: Lisa Kliszewski, her husband Mark, and grandchildren Justin and Kyle; Kim Carrier, her husband Steve, and grandchildren Steven, his wife Brittney (Schuelke), Sarah, Aimee, her fiancé Everett Pelletier, Christopher, and Collin. He also leaves his sister Anna (Ubaldo) Wagner and brother-in-law Donald Wagner, his nephews Anthony, Donald, his wife Heather (Bloom), and his uncle Paul D’Arena and his wife Nella. He leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins in the United States as well as in Italy. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his grandparents Alfredo and Angelina (Catanzaro) D’Arena and Gennaro and Anna (Magliulo) Ubaldo.
Relatives and friends may call at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain on Wednesday, April 10 from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday April 11th at 9:30am followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am at St. Ann Church 94 North St., New Britain.
