George Dawiczyk

George A. Dawiczyk, 84, beloved husband of Carol (Bisson) Dawiczyk passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his wife on Saturday, November 22, 2025. He was born May 3, 1941 in Hartford a son of the late Eleanor (Symkowicz) Soloway. He was a faithful parishioner of St. Matthew’s Church in Bristol before moving to Windsor. George was the chief radiographer at Hospital for Special Care for 47 years before retiring to enjoy his family. He had a passion for cooking for family gatherings, traveling the world cruising with Carol, watching the UCONN women’s basketball games and most especially spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, George is survived by two sons; Kevin (Marcia) Dawiczyk of Bristol, Joel (Jill) Dawiczyk of Marlborough, MA, six grandchildren; Levi,Abigail, Deandreya and Zachary Dawiczyk and Alexander and Victoria Szczygiel, a twin brother; David (Sandy) Dawiczyk of Colchester a sister Barbara(George) Vartenigian West Hartford as well as many extended family and friends. He was predeceased by a daughter Dana Dawiczyk.

Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday November 30, 2025 from 3-7pm, at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday December 1, 2025 at 10am at St. Matthew’s Church 120 Church Ave., Forestville, CT 06010, everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
