Gino Trigilio, of Kensington, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on March 7, 2026, just days after celebrating his 66th birthday. He was the loving and devoted husband of 40 years to his soulmate, Linda (Burgio) Trigilio. He was born on March 4, 1960, in New Britain, Connecticut, son of Santina (DiMauro) Trigilio and the late Michael Trigilio.
Gino was a dedicated and kindhearted father and grandfather who treasured every moment with his family. His life was defined by compassion and a deep commitment to those he loved. Those who knew him will remember his warm sense of humor, gentle spirit, and the way he could always bring a smile to those around him. He was admired for his attentiveness to detail and his humble nature. He and his wife Linda were passionate fans of UConn Huskies basketball and spent countless hours watching games together rooting for their favorite team.
After graduating from Newington High School, Gino devoted much of his time to working on cars, a trade he practiced with pride and skill. He also had a deep passion for cooking, and early in his career he proudly owned an Italian restaurant with his brother where he was able to do what he loved most, making pizza. Above all, he adored his family and especially the time he spent with his grandsons, Michael and Jacob, swimming in their Guilford beach home pool and fun times in arcades.
In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his two daughters who were his pride and joy, Melissa Glowka and her husband Joseph, and Jennifer Salcedo and her husband Mike, and their children Michael and Jacob. He is also survived by his brother, Vincent Trigilio; his sister, Sylvia Lococo and her husband Nick; his mother-in-law, Maria (Pirruccio) Burgio and predeceased by his father-in-law, Paolo Burgio; his sister-in-law, Josephine Golino and her husband Salvatore; his sister-in law, Nella Fragione and her husband Salvatore; and many nieces and nephews.
Gino’s presence, laughter, and compassion will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
