It's been 3 years and I miss your phone calls and your smiling face.  Love you to the moon and back.   RIP 

 Although I was living out west for a long period of time, and did not see her for those years, I remember her grand smile she always had for anyone she came into contact with. She will always have a special spot in my heart. She loved animals, as I do and I use to go to her and Eric’s house to see all her little friends. Say hello to my sister Christine who loved you so very much. I’m at a loss with overwhelming sadness. 

I can't believe that Janet is gone! I just saw this on Facebook. I wish I could have talked with her or spend another day with her. Janet was a childhood best girlfriend of mine. We lived a street away from each other. She was the most creative fun, sensitive, kind friend I had. We didn't go to the same school so we lost contact over the years but always had a special place for our friendship deep within our hearts. I'm sorry to hear this and it breaks my heart that I won't be able to see her or talk with her again. She loved her Bailey so much!! So sorry to her Mom and brother. Rest in peace my friend until we meet again. xo JoAnn 

Janet was always kind to me, with a sense of humor. She was born ten days after me, a fellow GenX Gemini. We shared a love for animals, both giving our time to the Humane Society. She gave a large portion of her life to them, something I always admired.
We'll miss her terribly, but we can let her live on through our own acts of compassion, fostering joy for other people, two-legged and four-legged alike.

Janet was an amazing, funny, and good person. Her and I became friends when we were little and I used to spend weekends at my grandmother's. She is my daughter's God mother, and a dearly remembered friend who I had lost touch with over the years. I am so grateful that we found each other again after so many years thanks to social media and I'm heartbroken we have lost such a bright light far too soon.

I didn’t know Janet all that well but what I know and see she was a great woman. So sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace 

Janet was my first friend at my first full time job, way back in September of 1987.  I remember how she went out of her way to help me feel comfortable at Puritan Furniture in Rocky Hill, as I was fresh out of college and felt very awkward in an "adult" job.  Janet was outgoing and had a huge smile, and invited me into her work space many times for talks and hugs (even though her boss Ron wasn't crazy about it at times :).  Janet was so much fun-she was extremely spontaneous and full of energy, which was addicting to be around.  In December of that year, she introduced me to friend Terri, who on January 30, 1988 introduced me to Scott, my husband since 1991.  Without Janet, I doubt I would have met my husband, as I was new to the area, and I am forever grateful to her for that.  That very same night, Terri helped bring Eric and Janet together (they met at Bowl O Rama), and I am so happy to hear that they stayed in touch over the 32 years they knew each other, as they had a bond that was extraordinary right from the first day.  Along with Kenny, who was Terri and Scott's friend, we quickly all became family.  We all needed each other back then through the angst of young adulthood, and protected each other at all costs.  Janet had much spunk back then, and some moments with her were pretty crazy, however Janet was loved and protected by all of us.  I am sure that Janet has gone to the light, and she will spread that love to all of us when we need that fantastic energy she possesses to enter our lives during difficult times.  

Janet was a huge part of my life, she was my other half for 21 years.  And a dear friend for the last 9. We shared a lot of great times together and memories I will cherish forever. I will miss her kindness and her deep devotion that she had for animals. We shared many little friends that she adopted over the years. 
She was always there when you needed her and she would have given the shirt off of her back to help you in any way possible. I will eternally miss her more than anyone could ever imagine and I hope she is in a restful place and at peace and comfort with her Dad whom she loved dearly. I will miss you Janet! With love...

Janet and I worked together at Sears years ago and kept in touch, thank goodness, through the internet.  She was such a beautiful person.   Always so sweet and willing to listen.  Down to earth and caring and a smile that just brightened the room.  She will be missed by many.

Janet and I were managers together in Key West. She was the kindest person to me and my children 
She called me her sister and I’ll always carry that in my heart. 
The 27th was the 9th anniversary of us reconnecting on FB and it was like we never lost touch.
I’ll miss her vibrancy and her passion .

Ms Dahlgren,   I am so so sorry to hear about Janet. We have been friends since our teens and just spoke Christmas Eve.  She is with our Heavenly Father now. Resting free of pain and burdens. I send my heartfelt condolences to you and yours.  If you need anything please let me know!!  Fondly Lynn
