

Joseph A. Otulak, husband of Naomi J. Otulak of Farmington passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025. He was born in New Britain on April 20, 1930 a son of the late Thomas and Sophie (Bak) Otulak. Joseph was a graduate of Goodwin Technical School and enjoyed a 35 year career as a tool and die maker for Pratt & Whitney machine tool division. He proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1955, stationed in Germany and was often called on to fix the unfixable. His talents were recognized and was offered a promotion, however he chose to be discharged. He loved to fish, hunt, hike, go to tag sales and would strike up a conversation wherever he went. His true passion was collecting and repairing clocks, watches and antique firearms. Joseph was a long standing member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Chapter 148 Newtown,CT.
In addition to his wife Naomi, Joseph is survived by his devoted daughters Janice M. Otulak and Laura Ann Otulak; his stepson William Wolf; step daughters, Alene LeVasseur, Lynn Truta, Cheryl White and their spouses as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Thomas E. Otulak; stepson Troy Wolf, brothers; Anthony Otulak, Paul Otulak, John Otulak and Henry Otulak, and sisters Mary Samul and Anne Misiorski.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, June 1, 2025 from 3-6pm at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain. His funeral will be on Monday, June 2 at 8:30 am followed by a mass of Christian Burial at 10am at Holy Cross Church, 31 Biruta St., New Britain. Burial with Military honors will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
