Josephine M. (Vernale) Lepito, 93, of Southington, widow of Angelo Lepito, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at The Summit at Plantsville. She was the daughter of the late Anthony and Concetta (Pavano) Vernale and was a member of St. Ann Church. She enjoyed life and spent her time with family.
A devoted mother and grandmother, she will be dearly missed by; her daughter, Ann Marie Pavano and her husband Carmen, and her son, John Lepito and his wife Janet, all of Southington, her five sweet grandchildren; JoAnn Melluzzo and her husband Sal, Michelle DeGennaro and her husband Anthony, Carl Pavano and his wife Alissa, Gina Jewett and her husband Wayne and John Lepito, her nine precious great grandchildren; Jennifer and Michael Jewett, Alessandra and Gianna Melluzzo, Angela, Anthony and Joey DeGennaro, Anthony and Presley Pavano. She is also survived by a brother, John Vernale of Farmington and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will begin Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 10am from the New Britain Memorial Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave., New Britain, with a funeral liturgy at 11am in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
