

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Juan Carlos (Juan2) Veguilla, 51, who died unexpectedly at Hartford Hospital on May 29th after a long battle with diabetes resulting in a stroke and recent heart attack.
Juan was born in Caguas, Puerto Rico on August 8, 1969 to the late Blanca Rivera and was raised by the late Concepcion Torres and Luis Torres in New Britain, CT. He worked as a CNA at Genesis Meriden Center for more than 20 years as well as Best Buy’s Geek Squad.
He was happily married to the love of his life Nancy for 30 years after meeting in 1989.
Juan is survived by his wife, Nancy, his three loving children, Gabriella (Bradley), Jesse and Julian as well as his grandson Liam. He is also survived by his sister Sara Tambling (Andy) and three brothers, Tony Veguilla, Jesus Correa, and Justin (Isabel) Torres as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Juan loved to be surrounded by his family and friends. He was an amazing artist and loved to draw and do graffiti. He loved to dance and was always listening to music, playing sports like golf, softball, and basketball. He loved taking pictures and traveling. He was the life of the party and loved to celebrate his birthday huge every year. He was such a family man and he loved being a grandpa. He loved his Jeep, going on long rides and being a part of the Jeep community.
Juan had an explosive personality. He loved everyone, was always joking around and touched every single life that he came across.
Calling Hours will be held at New Britain Memorial-Sagarino Funeral Home located at 444 Farmington Avenue in New Britain, CT on Friday June 4, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm and final viewing will be on Saturday June 5, 2021 at 9:30 am with a Mass service following at 10:30 am at New Britain Memorial Funeral Home New Britain, CT. Interment service immediately following mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
