Julia (Judy) Ann Bouchard/Martin (Tribuiani), born December 20, 1938, in New Britain, Connecticut, peacefully passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 87, surrounded by the love of her family. She was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, and a beloved “Meme” whose warmth, strength, and presence touched all who knew her.
The daughter of the late Flaviano and Ida Tribuiani, Judy was the true matriarch of her family. Family was the center of her world. There was rarely a moment when children weren’t gathered around her, and if things were quiet, it usually meant she was enjoying a well-earned afternoon nap.
Judy was the proud mother of seven children. She is survived by her children: Tina Mitchell; Peter Martin and his wife, Kim; Greg Martin and his wife, Claudine; Dean Martin; and Amy McGarrah and her husband, Raman. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Deborah Stankiewicz, and her son, Paul Martin.
Judy began her family life with her first husband, Gerald Martin, in Frenchville, Maine, where Gerald was born and later took over the family potato farm following his father’s passing. Judy gave birth to six of her children in Maine before the family relocated to New Britain, Connecticut, in 1971, where she welcomed her seventh child. Gerald’s passing in 1982 was a devastating loss for the family, but with remarkable strength and the support of loved ones, Judy continued to raise and support her children and grandchildren with steadfast devotion.
She later remarried Joseph Bouchard, with whom she shared many loving years until his passing in 2018.
Judy is also survived by her loving brothers, Joe Tribuiani and his wife, Andrea, and Louis Tribuiani and his wife, Dottie. She was predeceased by her sisters, Lee Haze and Sue Labbe.
Judy found joy in life’s simple pleasures: working on puzzles, watching game shows, and, most of all, spending treasured time with her family. Her love, guidance, and unwavering support created a foundation that will continue through generations. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
