Krystyna Szablowska

Krystyna was born 08/12/1932 in Wierzbowo, Poland to the late Marian Zalewski and Anna Zalewska. She was an active parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Vernon, CT.

She married Ludwik Szablowski in 1950 and they made their home together in Zebry, Poland. Krystyna was a devoted wife and mother who cherished time spent with her family. In addition to raising her children, she maintained her career as a farmer and caregiver. A light hearted woman, she had a loving and gentle nature with a great sense of humor. Talented in arts & crafts, she donated the hats she made to the children of Hartford Hospital and made many rosaries for people in need. Krystyna dedicated much of her life to serving the Lord. She spent most of her time gardening and sharing the produce she grew with neighbors and friends.

Krystyna was the youngest of her 6 siblings, Josef, Stephania, Janina, Maria, Anna, and Marian. She was the mother of Zofia DiZazzo, Andrzej Szablowski, Elzbieta Chojnowska, Michal Szablowski, Kazimierz Szablowki, Bogdan Szablowski, and Jolanta Rojek. She also had 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren that will all miss her dearly.

Funeral services will be privately held for her immediate family at New Britain Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Britain.
