

Lois Ann (Fracasso) Marzi of East Berlin, CT passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 11th at Pilgrim Manor in Cromwell surrounded by her loving family. She was 79 years-old. Born on March 22, 1935 in New Britain, Lois was a 1953 graduate of New Britain High School.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 58 years, Louis F. Marzi, Jr. and her three children, Michael Marzi of East Berlin, Susanne Marzi Cameron of Newburyport, MA, and Richard Marzi of West Hartford.
While raising her children, Lois worked as a school aid at McGee Middle School in Berlin and then for Drs. Byer and Donahue in New Britain as a medical receptionist until her retirement. Lois enjoyed spending time and laughing with her family and friends, rooting for the New York Yankees, and was an outstanding cook. She was an active member of Suburban Women's Club, Women's Club of New Britain, and Sacred Heart Church Forever Young Club.
Lois was a wonderful mother-in-law to Edward Cameron of Newburyport and Laura Marzi of West Hartford. She was a proud “Nona” to Anna and Lucy Cameron of Newburyport, and “Grandma” to Jack Marzi of West Hartford. She loved her three grandchildren unconditionally.
Lois was the daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Garesio) Fracasso, and daughter-in-law to the late Louis and Elsie (Lenzi) Marzi. She was a sister to Richard Fracasso of Kensington and the late Louis Fracasso, Jr. of Southington. Lois was a sister-in-law to Liesel Fracasso of Southington and the late Susanne Fracasso. She was the sister-in-law of James and Sheila Marzi, and the late Lorraine (Dede) and Michael Firetto. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
The family would like to thank Middlesex Hospital Hospice and Palliative Care for their welcoming kindness and to the staff of Pilgrim Manor for making Lois’s last days both dignified and comforting.
Visiting hours will be held Friday, January 16, 2015, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue, New Britain. The Liturgy of Christian Burial, will be Saturday January 17, 2015 at 10AM in Sacred Heart Church, 66 Cottage Street, East Berlin, please meet us directly at church. Burial will be private. Donations may be sent to Sacred Heart Church, 66 Cottage Street, East Berlin, CT 06023, in memory of Lois.
