Margaret Hackney

She was born in New Britain and has lived in Plainville for many years.

Margaret was the daughter of the late Anthony and Eva(Lucas)Nevulis and was also predeceased by her husband, William H. Hackney and her brother, Richard Nevulis

Margaret was a member of Holy Cross Church and retired after 22 years of service at the United Fleet Bank. She enjoyed her retirement by traveling and spending time with family and her friends, Agnes, Helen and Eleanor.

She was a loving and devoted mother, sister and friend and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted children a son, Brian Hackney of Plainville and her daughter, Bonnie (Hackney)Corliss and her husband, Richard M. Corliss of Burlington. She leaves a sister Virginia Beliveau of Plainville and a beloved companion John Maciulewski, several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Deborah Bessoni and her family.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 20, 2014 at 9:00 AM New Britain Memorial Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave. New Britain, (directions, Exit 37 off I-84 take a right at the exit, 1 ½ miles on your right) followed by the funeral liturgy at 10:00 AM at Holy Cross Church.

Burial will follow at St Mary Cemetery.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their last respects on Friday, September 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
