Maria (Privizzini) Borgia, 82 of New Britain, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 4, 2015. She was born in Palazzolo Acreide, Italy. She is the daughter of the late Paolo and Agnese (Rosella) Privizzini. Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Salvatore Borgia in 2007. She is survived by two sons, Paolo Borgia of Pachino, Italy. Roberto Borgia and his wife Nicolina of Farmington and one daughter Carmela and her husband Michael Cahill of Southington a brother, Michele Privizzini of Australia and her sister Giuseppina Privizzini of Italy, six grandchildren Maria & Salvatore Borgia, Adriano and Massimo Borgia and Jessica & Jonathan Cahill. Maria was predeceased by two sons, Riccardo Borgia in 2012 and Raffaele Borgia in 1955. Maria was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She loved and adored her grandchildren. She called them her angels. Visiting hours are Thursday May 7, 2015 from 5-7PM. A prayer service will take place on Thursday, immediately following the visiting hours at 7PM. Maria will be laid to rest in Palazzolo Acreide, Italy at a later date.
