Marie M. Tucker

Marie May (Picard) Tucker, 91 of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Thursday December 7, 2017 at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. She was the daughter of the late Joseph R. and Alice (Bouchard) Picard. Marie was born on May 1, 1926 in Frenchville, ME. She later married her late husband Raymond H. Tucker at St. Peter’s Church, New Britain on November 28, 1946. She had worked for Fafnir Bearing Co and was also a member of the St. Jean’s Women Auxillary. She was a generous, caring, good hearted, hard-working woman. She loved family and friends and was always willing to help anyone in need. She is survived by her son Donald (Kristin) Tucker of Clifton Park, NY and daughter Evelyn (Gary) Miller of Kensington, CT. She also survived by her sister Egline (Richard) Hollfelder of Canton, CT, grandchildren Kathy (David) Dunnett, George Tucker, Brenda (Tim) Bashwinger, Kimberlyn (David) Campbell, Carl Miller, Justin Miller, great-grandchildren Ian and Kailyn Campbell, William Dunnett and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her son Harold J. Tucker and siblings Gerald Picard, Ronald Picard and Simone Miron.

Her funeral procession will leave the New Britain Memorial-Donald D. Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Avenue Tuesday morning at 11am. Family and friends may call from 9-11am followed by a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
