Myrtle C. Coleman Mignosa

Myrtle (Coleman) Mignosa 85, of New Britain was peacefully taken from this life into heaven on Friday August 17th 2012 with her loving family by her side. She was the daughter of Charles & Marion Coleman.

Myrtle was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother & friend; she had an amazing way of making you feel special from her her Monday Night card party with the girls for the last 25 years, to always lending a hand to anyone who needed her help.

She was a lover of animals and adopted many though out her life time Tim the cat & Bella the dog were her last. She is survived by her four daughters Laura Mignosa and her partner Vy Treciokas of New Britain, Karen and Arnold Moro of New Britain, Faith Eltman of New Britain and Valerie and Mark Moore of North Carolina. She leaves five beloved Grand children who were the world to her. Christine and Daniel Ripa; Eric and Jeffrey Eltman; Mary Sedcieski, and four precious great grandchildren, Adrianna Eltman, Eric Eltman JR., Gabriel Eltman, Gianna Fiordellisi.

She also leaves her extended family Richard & Cecelia Eltman of Berlin, Anthony & Beverly Ripa of Bristol and Ann & Steve of Terryville. She was an Honorary "GRAM" to many.

Mert, as she was affectionately known by so many people, also leaves behind a loving family from Las Vegas.Jerry & Nori Divicino & their family, Angela Cantrell and Donna & William Hooker from New York City.

In addition, she had many, many "Adopted" family members and her Sunday dinners were a place where all were welcomed and there was ALWAYS room for one more. One freind would ask: How can you tell the difference between a Sunday dinner and a Holiday Dinner....by the number of desserts she would make...one for each of her favorite person, and there were many of them.

She will be missed by so many people whose life she touched in even the smallest of ways. She had a big heart, a kind word for all and enjoyed celebrating life at every turn.
